Description

Chouchin is a family of lamps that play on the visual contrast between the painted and white blown glass, combined with different shapes and colours, also ideal for multiple compositions.
Chouchin 1 stands out for its warm orange hue, which creates an enjoyable contrast with the lower white collar that turns into a ring of light. The colour green of the Chouchin 2 suspension lamp, with its more elongated shape, speaks of nature, tradition, and elegance. A particular shade of grey distinguishes the Chouchin 3 suspension lamp, which is the most compact in the Chouchin family. Chouchin reverse 1 stands out for the slim lower collar in warm orange, Chouchin reverse 2 for the slim green lower collar, and Chouchin reverse 3, the most compact in the family, stands out for the slim grey lower collar which completes the elongated white blown glass diffuser with originality, generating a solar and diffused light into its surroundings.

Chouchin was designed by Ionna Vautrin. Her projects have a gentle presence but a warm spirit, with organic and geometric shapes. She opened her own studio, with an ambition to design immediate yet surprising objects, distinguished by the merger of industry and poetry. Examples of this philosophy include the Binic lamp, a small, friendly household spotlight, and the Chouchin family of lamps, with simple, familiar and complementary shapes and colours.

What should I expect when ordering an item with lead time?

Estimated lead times are shown under "Delivery", above. Read our shipping policy to learn more.

Lead times are estimated based on previous production times from our manufacturing partners, but lead times can change depending on availability and circumstances outside of Rarify's control.

For example: if purchasing an imported or made-to-order product, international shipping and import times depend on many factors. This includes US customs operations, global trade circumstances, and production facilities in other countries.

We will try to fulfill your order as quickly as possible. Our international freight forwarding partners help to take burden off of you during the process of importing; we appreciate your patience while your order is fulfilled.

Purchasing made-to-order is one of the most responsible ways to purchase, as it helps prevent furniture waste on our planet.

Vintage items are typically in-stock in the USA and ready to ship once purchased.

How much does shipping cost?

To see shipping costs, add an item to your cart and proceed to checkout. You'll be able to see costs there.

  • Small items like lamps typically cost under $99 to ship.
  • Larger items including furniture often ship on a truck via Freight. Our furniture shippers professionally arrange and manage all Freight shipments.
  • Freight costs often range between $100 and $999 for furniture.
  • Very large and fragile items can cost more, depending on the ship-to-address.
  • Freight costs may include insurance.

Do you deliver to NYC?

Yes, in-stock items can often be delivered to NYC quickly by our skilled couriers. Pieces are delivered by hand to your residence. This typically takes 1-2 weeks for items stocked at our warehouse in PA.

What is Freight shipping?

Freight shipping is how most furniture is shipped: secured by hand on a pallet and transported on a truck.

Furniture arrives curbside, often on the shipping pallet for protection.

Freight shipments can take longer and are more costly than regular mail, but help to prevent damage to furniture during delivery.

Is everything authentic?

Rarify's entire collection is evaluated by credentialed experts for authenticity. We strive to only list an item for sale if we're certain it's authentic. Our team reviews every piece.
