The Lud'o Pouf is an object of design that can be dressed and re-adorned to make room, in our lives, for the playful side of our nature. A change of clothes, in this ottoman, becomes a fundamental concept: with a simple gesture, one can remove the entire padded upholstery that covers the shell and substitute it with a completely new one. The Lud'o Pouf is a worthy tribute to Vico Magistretti, the designer's mentor. Equipped with a recycled plastic shell made with a rotational mold. The quilted upholstery is available in a selection of the fabric and leathers in the collection. Super soft, eloquent and polyhedral, the Lud'o Pouf is completely recycled and recyclable: in this ottoman each element, from the base to the padding, expresses a new way to give materials added value. The cylindrical base is finished in black epoxy powder-coat with a grey felt bottom.
Lud’o was designed by Patricia Urquiola. Of Spanish origin, Patricia Urquiola lives and works in Milan. In 2001, she opened her own studio, working in the sectors of product design, interiors and architecture. Each job encompasses and expresses her approach to the discipline: a mix of surprise and formalism, with a feminine edge and professional rigorousness, versatility and functionality.
All this accompanied by a dash of underlying irony, which is evident in the Radical Fake table and the Lud'o Lounge armchair that Urquiola made for the Cappellini catalogue. Her collaborations with the most important Italian and international design brands are innumerable. Among the most important, Agape, Alessi, B&B Italia, Baccarat, Boffi, Budri, De Padova, Driade, Flos, Gan, Kartell, Kettal, Kvadrat, Louis Vuitton, Molteni, Moroso, Mutina, Rosenthal and Verywood.
