The TA001P Dream Chair was designed by Tadao Ando as a tribute to Hans J. Wegner. Ando is know to have specified Wegner's furniture in a number of his internationally-recognized architecture projects.

Tadao Ando is one of the 21st century's most revered architects from Japan. Notably, he is the 1995 recipient of the Prizker Prize, the most prestigious international honor achievable by an architect.

Works by Pritzker Prize-winning architects are highly desirable. One of Ando's other works, a house in Malibu California, was acquired in 2021 by Ye (formerly Kanye West). Other notable works include the Ibaraki Kasugaoka Church (Church of the Light) in Japan, and the Modern Art Museum of Fort Worth, Texas.

Pushing the boundaries of structure, material and bold sculptural form, the Dream Chair is designed with a three-dimensional, molded veneer construction made of the highest quality hardwoods and cushioned upholstery. Adding comfort, a cushioned headrest is also integrated.
