This is a pair of Hill House Chairs, originally designed by Charles Rennie Mackintosh in 1904. These examples date to the 1980s and are attributed to Cassina, though they are unmarked, so it is not certain. The listed price includes the pair. Their design features a solid ash wood frame that has been ebonized, and they have black leather upholstery. Charles Rennie Mackintosh was an influential Scottish architect, designer, and artist that was ahead of his time in his design language.

Each chair measures 14 inches deep, 16.5 inches wide and 55.25 inches high. They have a seat height of 17.5 inches. The pieces are seemingly unsigned. The black finish has some wear along the edges and corners and is slightly faded. The upholstery has very light signs of use. Overall, these chairs are in good condition. Please see photos.
