L'Oiseau Figure
Made by Vitra
L'Oiseau, an avian figure of archaic simplicity, is reminiscent of the unpretentious artefacts of Nordic folk art. Its form attractively enriches interiors without the cuteness or even tackiness so commonly associated with animal figures. The limited and numbered edition of L'Oiseau in cork is available in addition to the existing versions in maple or ceramic.
L'Oiseau was designed by Ronan and Erwan Bouroullec. The Bouroullec's studio was founded in 1999 and has since been engaged in design for some of today's most recognized brands including Vitra, Cappellini, Magis, Nanimarquina, Kvadrat, HAY, and others. Their work can be seen in parks (their outdoor furniture collection) and yet also in museums such as the Centre Pomidou and Museum of Modern Art in New York.
