Description

This is a Racetrack Worktable, initially designed by Joseph D’Urso for Knoll in 1980. This piece dates to 1990. This example features an Arabescato Marble Top with hand-crafted bullnose edges. The stone has a lovely fluidity, incorporating hues of swirling white and gray. The marble slab sits atop a steel base finished with black enamel. Because of its generous size, the piece works beautifully as a dining table, a large desk, or a conference table.

This table measures 35 inches long, 71 inches wide, and 28 inches high. It appears that it has a repaired crack on the underside, though the flaw does not extend to the top of the piece and remains secure. There is a small chip along the bottom rim of one edge, and one of the wood pieces on the base needs to be glued. There are some light white marks on the frame. We may have the piece professionally restored for an additional charge if so desired. Overall, this table is in good condition. Please see photos.

What should I expect when ordering an item with lead time?

Estimated lead times are shown under "Delivery", above. Read our shipping policy to learn more.

Lead times are estimated based on previous production times from our manufacturing partners, but lead times can change depending on availability and circumstances outside of Rarify's control.

For example: if purchasing an imported or made-to-order product, international shipping and import times depend on many factors. This includes US customs operations, global trade circumstances, and production facilities in other countries.

We will try to fulfill your order as quickly as possible. Our international freight forwarding partners help to take burden off of you during the process of importing; we appreciate your patience while your order is fulfilled.

Purchasing made-to-order is one of the most responsible ways to purchase, as it helps prevent furniture waste on our planet.

Vintage items are typically in-stock in the USA and ready to ship once purchased.

How much does shipping cost?

To see shipping costs, add an item to your cart and proceed to checkout. You'll be able to see costs there.

  • Small items like lamps typically cost under $99 to ship.
  • Larger items including furniture often ship on a truck via Freight. Our furniture shippers professionally arrange and manage all Freight shipments.
  • Freight costs often range between $100 and $999 for furniture.
  • Very large and fragile items can cost more, depending on the ship-to-address.
  • Freight costs may include insurance.

Do you deliver to NYC?

Yes, in-stock items can often be delivered to NYC quickly by our skilled couriers. Pieces are delivered by hand to your residence. This typically takes 1-2 weeks for items stocked at our warehouse in PA.

What is Freight shipping?

Freight shipping is how most furniture is shipped: secured by hand on a pallet and transported on a truck.

Furniture arrives curbside, often on the shipping pallet for protection.

Freight shipments can take longer and are more costly than regular mail, but help to prevent damage to furniture during delivery.

Is everything authentic?

Rarify's entire collection is evaluated by credentialed experts for authenticity. We strive to only list an item for sale if we're certain it's authentic. Our team reviews every piece.
