The designer's work for Knoll was one of the first forays into fabricating office furniture that was informed by anatomical research. Workplace behavior was examined, and Diffrient focused on increasing comfort and ensuring user well-being. He was indeed a pioneer of ergonomics. This example features two walnut writing\/work surfaces, and has a steel five-star base that is on casters.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\n\u003cp\u003eThe piece measures 25 inches deep, 32 inches wide, and 34 inches high. We have intentionally left this piece in its original condition to showcase its history. The tallest table top angles up or down in height by lever. The lower top requires a height change by separate lever. There are some chips and scratches on the sides of the tops, and there are some scratches and minor blemishes on the base. Overall, this piece is in good condition.
