LCW Lounge Chair (2006)
Made by Herman Miller
This is an iconic LCW lounge chair, designed by Charles and Ray Eames in 1948. This example dates to 2006. LCW stands for Lounge Chair Wood (legs). It is formed of molded plywood, and sits lower than most chairs, rendering it a true lounge chair. Herman Miller was the sole producer and distributor of this chair after 1949. Unsurprisingly, Time magazine named the LCW “the Best Design of the 20th Century.”
The listed price is for one LCW chair. We have three additional LCW chairs available for individual purchase. Each chair measures 26.38 inches tall, 21.65 inches wide, and 25.2 inches deep. The seat height is 15.35 inches. These chairs are in very good condition. The legs and seat edges are clean without notable chips. They are structurally sound and the shock mounts are stable and secure. They do remain used/vintage pieces, and may show signs of time and use. Please see photos.
