These are Eames Aluminum Group Soft Pad Management Desk Chairs, Model EA418, designed by Charles and Ray Eames for Herman Miller in 1969. These examples date to 1982. The listed price includes one chair, and we have 2 available for purchase. Their design includes a solid yet lightweight aluminum frame, and the upholstery is done in a chocolate brown leather and has contrasting brown Girard hopsack details. The seat has plush cushions that are 2 inches thick, and features an adjustable 4-star antler aluminum base on casters. It offers a tilt feature with locking capability and has a full 360-degree swivel. These models feature a manual lift mechanism.
E
ach chair measures 17.75 inches deep, 23 inches wide, and 33.75 inches high. Their base seat height is 20.25 inches, and their seat depth is 16.5 inches. The leather upholstery is in good shape, but there is obvious wear on cushions. There is a small indentation on one chair, but it isn’t a puncture. There is some wear and creasing apparent. The bases and arms have some scratches and rubs as to be expected. Overall, these chairs are in good condition with some light wear. Please see photos.

When do orders ship?

You can see estimated lead times under "Delivery", above.

Newly made items ship from a warehouse or are made-to-order. There may be a lead time depending on the piece. We'll keep you updated if there is.

Vintage items are all in-stock and ready to ship.

What is Freight shipping?

Freight shipping is how most furniture is shipped: secured by hand on a pallet and transported on a truck.

Furniture arrives curbside, often on the shipping pallet for protection.

Freight shipments can take longer and are more costly than regular mail, but help to prevent damage to furniture during delivery.
