Listed for sale is an exceptional 1965 production swan settee, designed by Arne Jacobsen and produced by Fritz Hansen in Denmark. This example was acquired from an estate in California, along with two egg chairs, all of which dated to the 1960s. The settee was then masterfully reupholstered in full grain black leather by one of the nation's leading leather and upholstery craftspeople, who specializes in these pieces. There are only a select number of people on earth who are trained in the swan and egg furnishings as the curvature and hand stitching is quite complex. The settee has not been used in a home or office setting since its new upholstery. It is ready for a new home and in gorgeous condition. The base may show some light wear and patina. See photos. The settee retains its original label, noting 0165 marked on the label. This is for the production month and year (January of 1965).
The settee measures 57 inches long by 29.5 inches tall and 19.5 inches deep.
There are two matching swan chairs listed separately also, which were masterfully reupholstered by the same shop and in the same leather.
