Listed for sale is a vintage, circa 1952, Eames LCW (lounge chair wood) produced by Herman Miller. The LCW was designed by Ray and Charles Eames in the mid 1940s and was originally produced by Evans Products Company. This example is an early example produced exclusively by Herman Miller, which began circa in the early 1950s. This is verified via the screw pattern, which is 5-2-4 underneath. This example is quite rare in that it has an original black aniline dye finish, also known as an ebonized finish. Whereas others have been painted over many times, this one appears to retain its original finish. On the underside, the chair is also stamped "LCW." Condition overall is very good to excellent for an early piece. The screws appear to be original and shock mounts seem to be also. There is some wear from use as is expected for a vintage piece.
The chair measures 27.5 inches tall by 22.25 inches wide by 25.5 inches deep.
