666C Risom Side Chairs (2021)
Made by Knoll
This is a set of 6 Model 666C Risom dining chairs, crafted of ebonized maple with either the antique beige Sunbrella material or more likely the Flax Cotton webbing. This piece was designed by Jens Risom in 1943 and produced by Knoll. These are still in production to this day. This set came from a Knoll employee. They have never been used in a home or office setting. They may show minuscule wear from storage and transportation to our warehouse. See photos. They were produced circa 2021.
The chairs measure 17.25 inches wide by 18 inches deep, and 30.625 inches tall. The seat height is 17.75 inches. The price listed includes all six chairs.
Working during WWII with material constraints and shortages, Risom designed his eponymous collection of chairs and tables using essentially scraps of wood and rejected nylon straps from parachute production.
