DKR-2 Chair (1952)
Made by Herman Miller
Listed for sale is a gorgeous Herman Miller DKR-2 chair from 1952, designed by Charles and Ray Eames. The chair has its original base and a lovely tan fabric upholstered 2-piece pad with horsehair back and original Venice, California Eames label.
The chair is in terrific shape structurally, with considerable wear as shown in the photos to the upholstered pad. Due to the historic importance and rarity, it is certainly best to keep the piece as it is.
The price listed is for one chair. It is the exact chair shown in the photos.
This is a super rare example, as it retains all of its original parts including the Eiffel Tower wire base, fabric pad, shell, and four boot glides. A lovely find from a Syracuse, NY area estate.
