Butterfly Chair and Ottoman (1950s)
Made by Knoll
This is an original Butterfly chair and coordinating (not Knoll production) ottoman, designed by Jorge Ferrari Hardoy, Antonio Bonet, and Juan Kurchan for Knoll in 1938. This set dates to the early 1950s. We believe that the ottoman was acquired to match the chair during the same time in which the chair was produced. This set has thick full-grain vegetable tanned leather pads in a rich shade of saddle brown, and the leather has aged beautifully.
The price shown includes both the chair and the ottoman as shown. The chair measures 32 inches wide by 30 inches deep and 35.5 inches tall. The seat height measures 12.5 inches. This is a vintage set and will show signs of wear and use. Please examine all photographs for an accurate assessment.
