The chairs were hand-carved utilizing solid cherry wood, and were hand-lacquered producing an ombré effect. The chairs were part of his \"Skyscraper\" series of Thebes chairs. Siciliano elaborated upon the profiles of ancient Egyptian artifacts, blending in qualities associated with the American Modernist and Art Deco movements. Each chair is hand-signed by the artist.\n\u003cbr\u003e \n\u003cbr\u003eEach chair measures 26 inches deep, 26.5 inches wide, and 67.5 inches high. They have a seat height of 15.75 inches. We have intentionally left these chairs in their as-found condition to preserve their history. There is chipping apparent to the top coat of lacquer, especially on the edges and corners of the chairs. The fabric seat cushions show fading. Overall, this pair of chairs is in good vintage condition.
